The Akarua vineyard is a unique site, measuring 52 hectares, 34.5 of which planted with vines. The estate is tucked into the foothills of the mountains rising above Kawarua River upstream of Lack Dunstan, in the midst of a breathtaking landscape. Located in Bannockburn in the Central Otago region, the vineyard occupies three west-facing terraces and enjoys intense sun all year round. This outstanding terroir lends remarkable character to the Pinot Noir in a reflection of the spectacular mountains surrounding the estate. Floral and spicy, it has a nose of raspberries and blackcurrant, while the pallet derives of black cherry.

Golden, straw colour. Partial malolactic fermentation and weekly lees stirring creates a wine that is both vibrant and textural. Full, dry with sweet peach, nectarine, citrus and biscotti with a lingering stone fruit finish.

Akarua's second release of Pinot Rouge, an early bottling in a traditional 'nouveau' style. It is terrific to see so clearly, the flavours of two of their oldest and most favourite vineyards without the overlay of extended oak ageing and complex winemaking. They like to enjoy it at cellar temp - about 12C shows off the juiciness of this wine perfectly. Perfect as a slightly chilled summer red.

When the bottle is opened the wine 'pops' into life and you are immediately met with fruity and floral character with notes of blossom, apple, pear and hints of ripe red berry fruits. Fresh, soft fruit entry with lemon and appley complexity and a crisp, clean finish. Vegan friendly

A subtle pink colour, Cecilia Rosé is a complex but elegant rosé. Dry, crisp and refreshing it shows an array of wild summer fruits, such as ripe strawberries and raspberries. The focused acids lead to a mouthwatering fruit finish. The bubbles enhance the aromas on the palate making this a very fitting drink for the summer months which is equally delicious throughout the rest of the year.

This Pinot Gris had a short spell of skin contact to enhance colour and flavour. A delicately luscious wine with pear, apple and subtle floral and honeysuckle flavours. A smooth-textured wine that is flawlessly delicious on its own. Vegan Friendly.

A vibrant style of Pinot Gris with an attractive texture. Fresh yet elegant. Aroma is filled with delicate white flowers, nashi pear, white peach and red apple with a touch of cardamom and clove-like sweet spice. The shape starts with the fresh acidity followed by a juicy textural element from the gentle sweetness and barrel aged portion. The hallmark Pisa minerality cuts through nicely on the long finish.

Highly aromatic with bright cherry and redcurrant, lifted red fruits coupled with savoury spice and dried herb offer an alluring and enticing nose. The palate is elegant and refined with fruit intensity matched with a supple and silky tannin structure.

Intensely aromatic with ripe passionfruit and more subtle delicate flavours of lemongrass, fennel and elderflower. The wine shows great concentration and drive, with a textural mid palate framed by succulent juicy bright acidity. The majority of fruit was cool fermented in stainless steel, with a small component of barrel fermented wine blended in for texture.

Dense rich purple with vibrant ruby hues in colour. This Cabernet Sauvignon is well-rounded and mouth filling with cassis, mint and French oak for a long finish. 100% McLaren Vale wine.
