Crimson is our selection of fruit from younger parcels of vines from our various vineyards on the Martinborough Terrace. In their youth, vines tend to be more fruit expressive, gaining more complexity with time. Now, Crimson is developing more depth of flavour, with a mix of vines aged from 5 to 20 years.

Arguably New Zealand's finest Pinot Noir, certainly if track records are taken into account, Ata Rangi have been doing Pinot Noir better and for longer than anyone. An incredibly consistent wine since the early 1980s, they've had a dream run even by their lofty standards with four of the finest vintages ever in succession.

Designed to showcase Ata Rangi's single vineyard Pinot Noir and their individual expression of a vintage, each box contains Pinot Noir from the Kotinga, Masters and McCrone vineyards from the 2020 vintage. This inaugural release also includes the highly anticipated new release Ata Rangi Pinot Noir 2020, a wine that scored 98 points from both Bob Campbell MW and James Suckling, where James anointed it the Wine of the Year in his Top 100 Wines NZ list for 2022. Hand-illustrated maps of each vineyard are included to ensure every detail needed to understand these wines and the place they come from is available as you taste the wines. The perfect pack for those of you wishing to extend your Ata Rangi cellar collection.

Working with two of the world's great wine varieties grown in one of the world's great red wine regions provides a special foundation for any winemaker. The result is a full flavoured, deliciously indulgent, opulent and warm, dry wine, dark and sweetly fruited with a hint of blackberry and plum, with a big hit of cocoa on the finish. An ideal partner for an antipasto platter featuring a range of salami and smoked meats, or any meaty casserole, like lamb shanks.

Much has been said and written about the Gimblett Gravels area being fantastic for Syrah. Babich was a pioneer of this region and this wine comes from the famous Babich Irongate vineyard. It is an accessible middleweight Syrah that's big on berry fruit, sprinkled with spice and pepper.

Darkly perfumed with layers of spice, cassis and plum. Also a touch of cedar. The palate is full, round and dense with deceptive concentration. Dark chocolate, blueberry and cinnamon and a little cigar box too. An elegant and powerful wine with a delightful transparency.

This Pinot Noir has generous aromas of boysenberries, ripe damson plum and nuances of warm spice. The Bouquet has boysenberries, ripe damson plum and nuances of warm spice. On the palate is has juicy blueberries and black plum, balanced with gentle tannins and a subtle toasty finish. It's a superb food match paired with duck, lamb or baked vegetable pasta or on its own.

Babydoll's BABYDOLL sheep live beneath the vines, nibbling on grass and weeds and giving their name to these delicious wines. Small but mighty, they're wonderful groundskeepers. Yes, they need a little help to keep the mowing going. But it's all for the good of the grapes.

Banrock Station Wines are bold, flavoursome, easy drinking wines produced from excellent fruit.

The violet robe is transparent. The extremely fresh nose expresses intense black fruit notes. Hints of cedar mingle with the aroma of Morello cherries. The elegant palate possesses a bold attack followed by magnificent breadth; the sophisticated velvety tannins evoke crisp black fruits. The whole is underlined by a restrained woodiness with a subtle liquorice redolence. The finish is long and persistent. While the freshness of this young wine is very pleasant.

The vines of Château des Laurets are spread over two neighbouring appellations: Montagne-Saint-Émilion and Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion. The vineyards are planted on south-facing slopes with limestone outcrops. The excellent clay-limestone soil gives this Merlot-based Saint-Émilion wine its distinctive taste. The 2017, bottled in July 2019, has a rather intense ruby red colour. The first impression on the nose offers a subtle blend of black fruit aromas with a dominant of blackcurrant. The mouth reveals a frank and assumed structure directed all in length, no excessive opulence in this vintage all in 'lace'. The aromas of fresh and crisp fruit give the wine a juicy side, all well chiselled by an already well-integrated woodiness. As is often the case at Château des Laurets, the small, spicy notes on the finish perfectly enhance the lovely tension of the overall. Smooth and full bodied with flavours of blackberry and dark chocolate oak characters are enhanced by Bourbon oak ageing which leads to caramel, maple syrup and wood derived spice and flavour notes.
