Crimson is our selection of fruit from younger parcels of vines from our various vineyards on the Martinborough Terrace. In their youth, vines tend to be more fruit expressive, gaining more complexity with time. Now, Crimson is developing more depth of flavour, with a mix of vines aged from 5 to 20 years.

The Gimblett; is traditionally made from a blend of grape varieties. The Cabernet family gives structure and fresh aromatics. Merlot gives richness and mid-palate weight with Malbec helping with complexity, density and colour.

Rockburn's 'hands-off' approach delivers a pure expression of Central Otago to your glass; an expressive nose and deeply fruited palate displaying vibrant notes of red and black cherry, rich mocha and supple, silky tannins leading into a very long finish. As always this wine shows classic Rockburn elegance, integrity and balance. Enjoy with friends over the next 4-9 years.

The McDonald Series wines are an expression of both their fruit and the vision of their namesake winemaker. Filsell Shiraz is a powerful, dense and structured wine with stylish fruit and texture that drives long and will be a long living wine in years to come. Star anise, juniper and hazel nut liquor flow across dark cherry and continues with chocolate espresso like flavours that combine with dense, tight tannins that show direction and velvet to silky texture that continues driving into a very long and fulfilling finish.
