Taylor's Late Bottled Vintage Port is a rich, full-bodied red with the pedigree of a classic Vintage Port, yet ready to drink when bottled. A benchmark in the category Taylor pioneered, this LBV is aged for four to six years in wood before bottling. Deep ruby in colour with vibrant purple highlights, this Port opens with intense aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and wild herbs, unfolding into subtle layers of raspberry, cherry, liquorice, and coffee. On the palate, it delivers a bold rush of dark forest fruits, supported by firm yet silky tannins and a long, refined finish. No decanting required - just pour and savour. Ideal with bold cheeses like Stilton or Roquefort, and heavenly alongside chocolate or berry-based desserts.

This blend was carefully put together for this limited edition from specially selected Ports from Taylor's extensive aged Tawny stocks, aged in seasoned oak Port pipes. At the beginning of the 18th century, bottles were hand blown and bulbous in shape. As the 18th century progressed, bottles became taller and more cylindrical. The first stage in this evolution was the appearance of the 'mallet' shaped bottle which had become well established in England by around 1730. Their sides were often tapered towards the shoulder rather than completely parallel. However, by around 1750, the 'mallet' bottle had developed a more cylindrical form. This Limited Edition bottle is inspired by the 'mallet-cylinder' bottle from that period, the immediate predecessor of today's cylindrical wine bottle.

Inky black with purple rim. A nose of great purity opening on a vigorous note of concentrated black woodland fruit laced with raspberry and plum. Around this dense core, with its attractive vibrancy and minerality, is a fragrant and complex aura of citrus blossom and wild herbal scents of mint and lavender. Supported by a tight warp of thick tannins, the palate explodes with concentrated ripe black fruit flavour which surges into the long finish before being gripped in a tight tannic embrace.

Ruby port is all about youthful fruit and flavour intensity, and this port delivers perfectly. The nose is ripe and lifted displaying blackberry, raisin and spice characters. The palate is supple and rich with fine tannins and a lovely warm alcohol finish.

Tawny Ports are wines made from grapes that are aged in wooden barrels, exposing them to gradual oxidation and evaporation. As a result, they gradually mellow to a golden brown colour
