This Pride of the Fleurieu Cabernet was grown in the family's pride and joy, overlooking the Finniss River wetlands, Tony Brooks and Prof. Barbara Santich's dry grown Stranger's Reach vineyard cooled by the Great Southern Ocean and Lake Alexandrina where low rainfall and deep alluvial soils encourage Cabernet to populate or perish. Selected bunches were hand picked by family and friends in the last week of March and gently crushed into open top fermenters. After 8 days fermentation the wine was then basket pressed into some new but predominately older French Oak Barriques for 18 months maturation and then bottled with minimal winemaking artifact, to capture the essence of the vineyard and will reward cellaring and decanting.

Intense dark colour red with purple edge. Ripe blackberry and blueberry characters, cedar-wood and liquorice. Soft, rich, mouth coating, balanced tannin, hints of classic Cabernet, authentically Heathcote.

A deep dark colour with brilliant purple hues. The bouquet is rich in blackcurrants with hints of chocolate and aniseed followed by dark berry fruits on the palate. The wine is superbly balanced with soft silky tannins on the finish.

Intense red with purple hues. Full bodied with dense ripe cassis fruit flavours balanced with vanillin oak but yet long and smooth. Try with char grilled sirloin or a heart minestrone. This wine has the flavour, structure and balance to be enjoyed now or offers added satisfaction from further cellaring.

Being finished in well-aged Irish whiskey barrels adds subtle flavours to this Cabernet Sauvignon without changing the essential characteristics of the grape.

A traditionally wine oak matured Grenache that has been enhanced by partial maturation in oak barrels that previously held aged Scotch Whisky. This unique, double barrel process instils palate richness and complexity. A Grenache that has been made to deliver a richer, deeper, and smoother palate.

Ironclad shows dark fruits; plums and berries, wildflowers, crushed rock, and iodine, all creating a complex and lifted aroma profile. The palate shows good density which is balanced with coastal freshness and finishes with a core of powerful tannins. A rare dominance of Merlot over Cabernet Franc gives the wine good early accessibility but clearly a wine suited to ageing.

Maitre D' Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine with deep red and purple hues and a rich aroma. It's complex and flavourful, with cherry and blackberry notes transitioning into hints of liquorice, cigar box, and mocha, all while maintaining fruit sweetness. This Cabernet is a well-balanced delight.
