Expressions of limes, crunchy apples, white peach, lychee, and wildflower aromatics, leading to a flint minerality. Finishes with a deeply rich textured palate, loads of elegance and poise.

The concentration is remarkable for this price bracket, and the combination of indigenous varieties with a seasoning of Bordeaux favourites brings the wine a complexity which almost comes as a surprise after its aromatic sweetness. Akarua's second release of Pinot Rouge, an early bottling in a traditional 'nouveau' style. It is terrific to see so clearly, the flavours of two of their oldest and most favourite vineyards without the overlay of extended oak ageing and complex winemaking. They like to enjoy it at cellar temp - about 12C shows off the juiciness of this wine perfectly. Perfect as a slightly chilled summer red.

Bright straw in colour, this energetic sauvignon blanc has explosive aromatics of paw paw, Kaffir lime, capsicum, and stone fruit that mingle with subtle notes of coconut and dill. Dry and reminiscent of highball gin and tonic, persistent flavours of blackcurrant, banana passionfruit, cucumber, and green olive are revealed alongside bright, mouth-watering acidity. The distinctive palate has an elegant structure and a bright, pure finish.

Chard Farm's Central Otago grown Sauvignon Blanc is made to display classic Sauvignon herbaceousness, a touch of tropical fruit and a textural structure we only see in Central Otago Sauvignon Blanc. It is something a little different. The wine is full and textural in the mouth and has long lasting flavour. Handpicked and whole bunch pressed this is a small batch wine. Wild yeast fermentation, extended lees contact, and a small portion fermented in barrel gives the wine the texture and length we are looking for. An alluring medley of passion fruit, gooseberry, and fresh citrus with subtle herbal undertones. Vibrant and zesty, enticing with sweet tropical notes, balanced with a tangy burst of citrus. The gooseberry and herbal notes add a refreshing complexity and lively finish.
