An original Oban from non-traditional casks that has a great deal to say for itself as it skilfully entwines the lighter and darker traits of this famous bridge between the Highland and Island styles of single malt. The Oban 12YO sweet natured Scotch stirs bright eyed, nose keen with smooth, sweet chilli. Maritime aromas offer contrast with seaweed, crystal salt and black pepper. Lightly oily, it soon shades the palate with a pinch of spice from fresh charred casks. Crunchy oak spice, a dark toffee apple sweetness and a lengthy, peppery finish harmonised in this lush tale of light and dark.

The last hours of a perfect autumn day when the world looks like a golden dream filled with cookie-coloured leaves and butterscotch skies... What would that taste like? The answer is, this dazzling, luminous whisky - a rhapsody of warm tones like purple heather, leaves swirling in the wind and hues of lemon, copper and gold. To create it, Glenmorangie gather the silky, fruity spirit from their giraffe-high stills and let it steep in American oak casks. No less than 15 years later, they transfer a portion into Oloroso sherry casks for three more years. Once 18 years have passed, Glenmorangie reunite them to create its warm balance of sweet, floral lushness. In 1909 Alexander Cowie used his most rare and special aged stock to create his own private release - a whisky he called Cowie's Blue Seal, a symbol representing the utmost quality. The barrels he chose were what he considered the best of the best-the select few among the brilliant Mortlach reserves - these were the stocks he deemed worthy of the 'Blue Seal'. Today, we've resurrected the symbol of the Blue Seal to mark our 20 year old release. This rich and beautiful single malt whisky is made from the barrels deemed to be of exceptional quality from the Mortlach reserves. A combination of Refill Casks with ex-Sherry casks allows the rich, robust spirit of the beast of Dufftown to come through, while growing in complexity and mellowing over 20 years to an elegant, balanced combination of pepper and cinnamon spice with smooth, mellow vanilla oak.

Matured in a combination of the finest Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks for a minimum of 21 years, constantly watched over by the Parliament of Rooks who next at the Distillery, the outstanding whisky continues great GlenDronach tradition of offering fruit-laden intensity in its single malts.

In the quest to discover sustainable packaging, discarded coffee husks have been given a second lease of life to create this innovative presentation box which encases a unique whisky. Whisky maker Steven Bremner has taken inspiration from the Arabica coffee and developed a whisky aged in both European and American oak casks which delivers notes reminiscent of a divinely sweet yet strong espresso. This limited annual release series brings together innovative sustainable packaging techniques with natural materials at the end of their life to see them given new use and purpose.
