Created using a higher proportion of local peated malt and matured in a combination of sherry seasoned European and American oak casks and ex-bourbon casks. Valkyrie celebrates Highland Park's rich Nordic ancestry in Orkney, once part of a vast Viking kingdom. According to Norse mythology, Valkyries would descend onto the battlefields to find the best and bravest warriors and give them passage to Valhalla. The combination of sherry seasoned European and American oak casks with ex-bourbon casks gives Valkyrie the aroma of crisp green apples in a spice market and an aroma of faraway campfires. A matured character, the 12 Years Old delivers rich wood spice and dried fruits and a natural rich gold colour.

Released to celebrate Fèis Ìle 2023, this limited edition is quintessentially Bunnahabhain in style. Fully matured in rare William & Humbert Canasta sherry casks, this unpeated whisky is bursting with sweet fruit, nuts and spice notes. The Canasta casks once held a blend of Oloroso (75%) and Pedro Ximénez (25%) sherries. Using these casks to mature their whisky has given this whisky the best of both worlds with layers of flavour; Oloroso sherry is spicy, whereas the Pedro Ximénez is a lot sweeter.

This whisky was born over a thousand walks in the forest. Most mornings, Glenmorangie Director of Whisky Creation, Dr. Bill wanders through the woods near his home. Captivated by the notion of a whisky steeped in the scents, sights and sounds of the forest, Dr. Bill brought back an ancient method of infusing barley with botanicals - in this case, juniper berries, birch bark and heather blossom. The result is a botanical single malt that holds a forest-like magic.

Aged in traditional oak casks and finished in Caribbean rum casks which result in a well-rounded whisky with notes of toffee, fruit and vanilla.
